Presbyterians Sharing is the collective response of individual Presbyterian congregations of the Presbyterian Church in Canada to the needs of the world, both locally and abroad. It represents the shared mission and ministries of our denomination. Areas supported include a broad spectrum of projects that are as diverse as the people who sustain them. PS supports mission partners who represent the Presbyterian Church in Canada throughout the world. Also PS responds to local ministry needs. PS is the channel through which Canadian Presbyterians share the gifts God has given to them.
There are 42 million people living around the world with HIV/AIDS. Of these, 95 per cent are in the developing world. And the crisis continues to grow, exacerbating existing emergencies, reversing development gains, and creating new crises on a global scale.

PWS&D (Presbyterian World Service and Development), an agency of the Presbyterian Church in Canada, works to address global equity issues as well as to create awareness among Canadians of the needs and issues affecting the developing world.
PWS&D receives no funds from Presbyterians Sharing but relies on the contributions of individuals, groups, and congregations. Often, funds for specific projects are matched with grants from The Government of Canada through CIDA (Canadian International Development Agency) or the Government of Saskatchewan. Overseas partner organizations work closely with PWS assessing community needs, designing and implementing development activities, and monitoring progress.
The RAFT (Resource Association for Teens) is a non-profit organization that provides counseling/support and referral and basic life skills to youth in need of a safe environment. The RAFT operates as a drop-in centre for young people between the ages of 16 and 20.
Hospice is not a place - it is a concept of care. Hospice aims to improve quality of life for people with a life-threatening or terminal illness from the time of diagnosis. The focus is on caring, not curing, and on life, not death. Hospice care extends to family members and caregivers, helping them to care for their loved one and to care for themselves.
